The Green Hornet is an action comedy film.
Personally for me, comedy is well matched with the action elements in this movie, since most of the scenes are about Britt Reid by Seth Rogen) and Kato by Jay Chou.
I am pretty sure that it takes quite some time for Britt Reid (Rogen) and Kato (Jay Chou) to really have the chemistry bonding with each other, it's good to see that the interactions work in this movie, and as I said that's where the majority of the film spent.
Expected Up's and down's of the movie, whereby two of them quarrel when they are facing some problems.
ACTION
This action part is where another success of this film.
Kato acted by Bruce Lee in the TV show is superb especially when he is an expert in the martial arts, so Jay Chou is still passable in most of the scenes.
Some of the stunning action scenes would be car chases and fist fight.
[Something interesting is that, they are driving the front part of the Black Beauty towards the end of movie.]
COMEDY
Sometimes I just feel unnecessary comedy's dialogue appears in between the interesting action part, guess that's where the part we just focus on the action part.
But yeah! Most of the dialogues between Britt Reid (Rogen) and Kato (Jay Chou) is really useful to show the comedy part.
Some of the interesting dialogues would be:
[Thinking of a title suitable for the headline of newspaper]
Rogen: Let's name it the GREEN BEE
All the staffs in meeting room: *keeps quiet, giving him a (=.='') face*
Kato: the Green Hornet
Rogen: the Green Hornet?
Staffs: yeah, that would be much better
(The Green Bee? sounds not hero at all)
I came across my friends blog, Carmen and I found this dialogues too.
Reid : What time is it?
Jay : 2
Reid : That's not so bad
Jay : Its Thursday
Reid : WHAT?!!! ITS NOT MONDAY?
Jay : Check out the Black Beauties.
Reid : Beauties?
Jay : Its for back up..
Reid : OMG, HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO ALL THESE IN FOUR DAYS!!!
Jay : 11 days
Reid : WHATTTTTTTTTT??????
[Eventually he blanked out on monday. And he woke up on Thursday. But it was actually already the following week, I were like wtf.]

BAD
For me, it doesn't really show any bonds between Lenore Case( Cameron Diaz) with Britt and Kato. It's merely a love interest between 3 of them.
She is the only part to drive the complication between Britt Reid (Rogen) and Kato (Jay Chou) .
She is the only part to drive the complication between Britt Reid (Rogen) and Kato (Jay Chou) .
Further more, Christoph Waltz role can be improve, he should be a stone cold killer instead of soft spoken evil guy.
so OVERALL, it's still a visual interesting movie, and 2 hours didn't seems to be real draggy and boring. It's also an entertaining movie, I am pretty sure you will enjoy it, and guess what, Jay Chou performance really improved.
